About Us
The Bear Scentials is located in Wasilla, Alaska. We are actually a home based candle shoppe owned by Paul and Rebecca Racenet.

While we are based out of our home, we stress that we are a small proprietorship. This is not a "marketing or business opportunity" type of business.
We have our own homemade product line that is made in our Wasilla home. Our Made In Alaska items include 100% Pure Soy Candles, 100% Pure Soy Melts and Soy Crumbles, Wax Tarts, Votives, Grubby and Novelty Candles, Reed Diffusers, Potpourri, Refresher Sprays and Oils and our unique Wax Dipped Scented Critters. We are continuously adding new and exciting items to our private line to keep our customers with many choices and options to fragrance their homes and lives.
We also have Our Pure Integrity Soy Candles, the pure soy candle with a reputation for outstanding quality. Please also browse through our other items on these pages to see some of the products that we are happy to offer including beautifully handmade and handpainted ceramic tart burners, tins, and other candle accessories.
While we do not have certain business hours, you are welcome to make an appointment to come in and buy directly or smell our products. We also do craft, holiday shows and bazaars. We have our current schedule listed on our Schedule Shows page. Please sure to stop by and say hello if you are in attendance at a craft show or bazaar that we are participating in! We also invite our customers and their guests to attend periodic Open House events in our home to see new products or purchase items. We do have a large inventory of candles in stock, particularly during the holiday season. If you let us know your favorites, we will try to keep those items in stock for you. We are also always open to new scent ideas, so you are encouraged to let us know if there is something you would like to see (or smell!) in the future. We do provide free delivery within certain areas.

Rebecca starting dabbling in candle making over 10 years ago and has worked hard to test and perfect her recipes while still keeping the personal, handmade touch. She used to just make fragranced items for family & friends, and expanded to open our business officially in 2006. She still personally makes each and every one of our handmade items as well as attends all of the bazaars and craft shows to try to personally meet each customer. All communication via web and phone is done by Rebecca.
Paul is a Geologist/GIS Analyst and Rebecca runs the business while also caring for our three girls. We are located off of Fairview Loop in Wasilla and are told you can smell our home from the street! :)
